Q. How big is Jo's Truly? A. Jo's Truly is a solo entrepreneur business, founded and operated by Jo Durocher. Prioritizing the development of close partnerships and long-term solutions, Jo's Truly has been working with a limited number of clients at a time since 2018.

Q. What makes Jo qualified? A. When Jo worked as a high-level executive assistant in Silicon Valley, she needed to swiftly provide clear and concise information to the executives she was supporting. To that end, keeping a highly organized and efficient office was critical to success. Throughout, Jo was continually focused on maximizing their time: identifying priorities, resolving problems in early stages, optimizing their schedule, developing and maintaining processes that reduced redundancy and improved efficiency. Jo was pleased to exceed expectations in every performance evaluation. Today her clarity, productivity and organization skills continue to be appreciated in both her personal and professional life. Please ask for specific examples during our discovery call.

Q. How secure is my information? A. Jo's Truly values your privacy. Your submitted data is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption, and discarded once the project is completed. All information received is treated with utmost confidentiality.

Q. What type of information do we gather? A. It's information that may not be in your will or other estate planning documents. Things like: instructions for your pets and other dependents • bills to pay, credit cards to handle • memberships and subscriptions (Netflix, fitness gym, Costco, Blue Apron...) • the lien holder on your car, mortgage details on your house • service providers • specifics on life and other insurance policies • info on a safe deposit box and where the key might be • any other keys, codes, valuables • your birth certificate, house deed or other important documents • details on final wishes, ways in which you may like to be remembered • and more. Phew! A reminder that the project is broken down into manageable steps, and provided with guidance, accountability, and heart.

Q. What if there's information I prefer not to share? A. Jo's Truly respects your privacy. Any and all information provided is solely at your discretion. LifeMatters being a custom product, it's simple to add a blank space for details you'd like to add in yourself. We then follow up with you to make sure that you do, so nothing slips through the cracks.

Q. Do you work in person or remotely? A. Both: LifeMatters is designed to be worked on remotely with periodic connect calls occurring virtually. If you're in Vermont, we can also have in-person meetings.

LifeMatters has been quietly unfolding since I founded Jo’s Truly nearly eight years ago, and I’m so happy it’s finally here. Having experienced a deep personal loss, and the overwhelm that follows, I feel a strong purpose to ease the pain our loved ones will face when settling an estate while grieving. Combining this purpose with my joy for giving presents — it’s my love language — makes LifeMatters very dear to my heart. It’s such a beautiful, selfless, and caring gift to leave for those we love. That’s what moves me most: how profoundly kind it is to do this for them.
